You are hurdling through the universe at insane speed in a straight line bent by the gravitational field of a collection of space dust that never got big enough to become a sun. You are a complex self replicating organism that has an almost arcane power to manipulate its surroundings to suit its needs. You use two small holes in your face to collect photons which your brain interprets as your environment. Your mind is programmed to delude you into giving these photons names and placing importance on them when they fit certain patterns that you have learned, but everything you “see” is the reflection from clusters of tiny particles at varying densities.

You are pathetic and insignificant. Nothing you care about is important, no matter how often or zealously you deny it. You spend all of your time pruning yourself for sex, playing Mother Nature’s replication game, or maybe you have given up and retreated to fantasy and allowed your hedonic mind to be corrupted by complacency.

Either way it doesn’t matter. Nothing does.
